I was just thinking about the term Faith as used in the bible. I noticed the correlation between the definition and MLM. Faith is one of the most widely used words in the world. However, I don’t think most people understand what it really means. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. That is the definition from the bible. There are some crucial elements to that definition.
From the biblical definition, there is substance to faith. More often than not, when we talk about faith, we are thinking about something that is not physical and something spiritual. That is not necessary true. Faith is a substance. In other words, how can you say you have faith in the MLM industry, and you are yet to talk to your family and friends about your business opportunity? How can you say you have faith in network marketing and you are scared to invite your gym partner to a presentation or simply hand over a marketing tool like DVD? That does not make sense. Your faith only shows in the “substance” which is the physical, the thing that we can see and the thing that you do.
When we talked about faith, there is a hope involve. “…Now faith is the substance of things hoped for.” This is what we Network Marketers off course called our “Why.” What are you hoping for? You have to answer that question in your mind and WRITE IT DOWN. That thing that you are hoping for should be big enough to bring out the substance part of the faith equation. In other words, what you are hoping for should be able to drive your butt off the couch to go and do some prospecting and presentation. HOPE IS NOT ENOUGH. You can keep hoping all day, that will not change your financial status. In the MLM term, your “why” has to be your drive. Faith = Hope X Substance or Faith = Substance [hope]
Faith is the evidence of things not seen. Well if you are reading this, most likely you have not made your first $1M yet in the Mlm industry. That is ok; hopefully you will make it soon. What faith should do is make people see you and believe that you have made your first million dollar. Even though, you are not riding that Bentley yet or living in that mansion. What faith will do is make you act like that millionaire. Faith will make you talk like that top earner. The way you walk will be different. The way you approach situations will be different. All these will happen because you know for a fact where you are going and what is required to get there. It is not about where you are but where you are going. Your faith in the industry and yourself will make that thing not seen YET evident in your life.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
