We all know that MLM leads are the heart and soul of your MLM Business. MLM lead generation is the most important skills set that you must learn in order to be a top income earner in your MLM business. You must know and master the science of MLM lead Generation. I am calling it Science for a reason. It can be learned. It is not some magical ability that people are born with. It is a simple as ABC. On this post, I will cover some fundamentals of MLM Lead Generation and how you can start generation 50 to 400 leads every day now. Imagine how fast your MLM business if you are currently showing your company’s presentation to 20 people every day.

MLM Lead Generation Origin.

Just for a little background here. When you join your MLM business, you were probably asked to write down 100 names of your warm market. These are your first set of MLM Leads. For a new person in the business, they are somewhat your best leads of prospects to work with. This is NOT MLM Lead Generation. Off course, your upline possibly came to your house to conduct your PBR for you. If you are someone with enough reputation and credibility before, you probably recruited few people into your business that day and basically start a momentum into your business.

This is usually the next option for those who are still in the business after the momentum stops. Should you buy leads of people seeking a business opportunity? I called these people the opportunity seekers. The answer to that question is NO. It is not like they don’t work. They do work. However this form of MLM leads are “seekers”. For the most part they are not doers. These folks are not your ideal prospects. You need leads of people who are doers. You need MLM leads of people who are business saggy and will understand that this is a business. I will not advise you spend money on buying leads because you might spend the rest of your energy on babysitting.

As the name implies, this form of MLM Lead generation is done offline. There are many ways you can generate leads offline. One of the obvious ways is through sign banners. There are cheap places you can order these banners. On these banners you will have to effectively write a strong ad copy that will prompt the interested people passing by to actually call the number or go to a website that you put on the board. This is probably the oldest MLM Lead generation tactic. The secret is to have people calling you about your business opportunity. This already put you in the position of authority.

Another Type of offline MLM Lead generation is through Flyers. I can tell you now that this is still done by people and somewhat effective if you don’t mind doing the labor. Again it comes down to the ad copy that you put on the flyers. And your call to action must be on point. Put the flyers at high traffic areas where you know people will see it including on cars at the mall if you don’t mind the labor. But who says you have to do it by yourself?

The absolute best offline MLM lead generation tactics is through the 100 Dollar Bill Drop Cards . As the name implies this is usually a $100 Look alike. On it you will put your ad copy and you must tell people what number to call or website to go to. You have to strategically place this at where people will see it. And as you can guess, people will pick it up and look at it. Even if they drop it, another person will pick it up.

This involves driving traffic of hot and targeted traffic of people to your capture page. This is a simple but comprehensive topic. This can be divided into two.

Paid Traffic

In this case, you will pay for having your advertisement in front your targeted crowd. The most popular of this type of MLM lead Generation traffic driving mechanism is Google Ad-words Pay per Click (PPC). This used to be hot. As a matter of fact, most of these Gurus that you see online started with Google PPC because it was much easier at that time to set up Google AD. However time has changed. To be frank and sincere, paid media is the only way to pretty much make lots of money in the MLM niche online. But you must have some money to invest in constant testing and optimization. Article marketing is a form of Organic method. Write articles and submit the articles to top article directories that have lot of traffic. The goal is to give your readers directions to go to your capture page. You can also have your own website where you write these articles. This is clearly better because that is your website. You own the content 100%. Off course you have to promote your post by means of SEO. This is a different monster on its own.

Another usually overlooked ways of driving traffic in the MLM lead generation context is Video Marketing. As a matter of fact, you will get the best MLM leads from Video. This is because the viewers already are more familiar with you. YouTube is the third most visited website after Google itself and Facebook. Get a small HD video recorder. Give people value on video and post it on YouTube and other video sites. Consistency is the key here.

Capture Page

There is where your traffic will come to. The idea here is to give them something for free in exchange for their information. Give them a free ebook. It could also be a free training on how to recruit. Give people value. Once they are attracted to you. They will opt in to your list. Do not talk about your MLM Company. To be frank, nobody cares. Give them value FIRST. Pick up the phone and call your MLM leads and build relationship with them. Online or offline, the concept of Network Marketing is still the same. Connect with your prospects. Send them series of email that will have them warmed up to you. Let it be majorly free training and values. Occasionally promote whatever valuable products either they are your product or not. Have you ever had a down-line rep who is so good at whinning and complaining about everything? I mean everything that includes your company products, opportunity and compensation plan. They even go as far as comparing with all the other companies out there instead of getting busy with their development and growth as a business person.

I get this question all the time by email and I figure I should address it with a free blueprint. Yes, there is a blueprint to dealing with these type of people in your MLM Down-line organization. Everything in your business needs to be on auto pilot without compromising effective relationship building and the natural effect. Complaining and whinning members of your team are no different. Use the following three steps to tackle this heads on.

1. ELIMINATE GUILT

In the first place, paying attention to this people has made you one of them. Let me guess what you will do next; complain to your up-line? Remember everything in your MLM or Network Marketing duplicates; either good or bad. Feeling guilty about their lack of success will cause you to change from recruiting phase to management phase. This is the point where you start feeling like you should because of one person tweak pre-existing system that has worked time and time again.

Remove and eliminate all guilt consciously immediately. This is their business and their business is less than 1% of your organization literally. Most importantly everyone in your team should be responsible for their own success.

2. PREQUALIFICATION ON AUTO-PILOT

In order to stay in MLM network marketing business successfully, you need to have these characteristics in place. You have to get started for the long run.

NO QUIT ATTITUDE

Do not give MLM a try. If you do, you have failed before you get started. The average person has to absolutely believe in their own self in order to stay in this game.

Do not give yourself an out. Such statements goes like, “if I don’t make it in 6 months I am out. All you would be busy doing is looking for all the excuses why it won’t work out for you. I promise you. You will find those excuses faster than you will find a reason to change your life.

Think about it. In life do you quit waking up in the morning if yesterday was a bad day? If you said yes, this business is not for you. If you said no, treat this business just like that. What do you have to lose? The only way you will fail in ANY MLM business is if you quit.

COMMITMENT

Network marketing is a simple home based business but it’s not easy. It’s like a roller coster. You will have your ups and you will have your down time.

My mentor, George Zalucki said, commitment is doing what you said you will do long after the mood you said it ends. MLM is like a marriage. On the wedding day you are in heaven. Two weeks after the wedding, you found out that your wife likes farting for fun with little regards for anyone around. Okay! This is not the best example but you get my point.

Then you started questioning yourself. But you are committed. You will not divorce her because of that. So is your Network Marketing business. There will be good and bad days. Prospects will disappoint. They wont pick up their phone. There probably will be a month that you might not recruit anyone. FOCUS on the goal.

POSITIVE ATTITUDE

You need to become a leader to be successful in a Network Marketing business. One of the characteristics of a true leader is that they are very optimistic. Its not about where you are now. Its about where you are going. There is a positive in every situation. This is a marathon. Only the people with the right attitude will survive it. Trust me when I say that. In order to launch an MLM network marketing business successfully, you need to have these characteristics in place.

DESIRE

There is a quote that states; “I used to desire many, many things, but now I have just one desire, and that’s to get rid of all my other desires.” What do you desire? Do you desire money or time? The very interesting thing about the Network marketing industry is that your desire changes with time.

Lets be honest, initially, our desire is to have more money or probably use a better car and live in a mansion. This probably explains why 95% of MLM or Network Marketers fail. Your desire have to be bigger than that.

What do you really want? Please don’t quote me on this. There is a research that says half of the divorce in this country (USA) could have been saved if the household income was $500 more. What would extra $1000 do for your family, seeing your husband or wife more, perhaps better school for your kids, better health insurance for your sick grand parent. Now again; what do you really want? How burning is your desire for that thing? History has proven over and over again that if we (human) really want something, we will get it. Period! NO excuses.

WORK ETHIC

This is another common denominator for every successful people that I’ve come across or read about; apart from Paris Hilton. They all have a ridiculously great work ethic. Donald Trumps, the billionaire, sleeps for like 4 hours everyday. He is already wealthy. What is your excuse for sleeping 10 hours on a week day and 12 hours on the weekend.

MLM home based business is extremely simple but it is not easy. There is a difference between EASY and SIMPLE. Becoming an expert takes doing the same thing over and over again. You have to make that extra call. Go to that extra home meeting, write that extra article and shoot that extra video. I think you get my point. You have to be willing to go the extra mile. That is the difference between Kobe or Jordan and the rest of the basketball players.

ENTHUSIASM & URGENCY

Have you noticed those guys making all the money in your company that they are always happy and jumpy. Ok maybe the money that they are making contributes to that too. You need to have that sense of urgency. You don’t have any time to waste with a curious or skeptic prospect. Keep it moving. You still have some approximately 349 million people to talk to.

Your next meeting or event or webinar is the greatest and the only one (that’s what you are conveying to your prospect. Be Urgent. Also, be enthusiastic. If you read Ola’s article on the BEAR cycle. If you are not enthusiastic about your company, the product and the compensation plan, then you probably should consider changing company. I’ll bet with you that it’s not about the company though. The most successful people in MLM network business and the top money makers are the most influential people. You have to be influential first. Then people will do business with you. Notice I said “you”. People do not join Mona vie or Prepaid legal or Amway etc. They do business with you. They have to believe that you can take them to the promise land. Here are the 5 ways you can become influential;

Choose to be more influential

The biggest attribute as a human being is the power to choose. I believe this is what really make human unique and superior to all the creatures in the universe. You must choose today to be influential In other words, you must choose to be a leader. Just close your eyes now, try to envision yourself leading a team of champions. This is a start. You can’t envision it yet, then you have some work to do. Who do you look up to? Be that person in your mind. In the MLM or Network Marketing business, you cannot afford to be a wuss.

Have Integrity.

Be optimistic

The world is filled with negativity. But when people are around you, you must have positive energy radiating from you. The greatest book in the world says, “You are the light of the world.” Be supportive. Your current situation is not permanent. This must be true for you and you must convey that good news to the people around you who are watching you either you know or not. Be positive and let it show.

Put other people’s interest before yours

Again, I have to quote the bible here. The greatest leader, Jesus said, If any one would be first, they must be last of all and servant of all.” As a leader, you must put the interest of your team first. You must be concern about them making money first. If you don’t have a team, put the interest of the people around you first. They will want to do business with you. Do not be phony about this. But be sincere. MLM and Network Marketing is a people’s business.

Personal standard of Excellence.

Let’s be honest, your looks and appearance matters also. You have to set a standard of excellence for yourself in all area of your life. Step up you fashion a little. I am not telling you go all Kanye West now. I’m saying, wear clean cloth, smell nice, comb your hair, and look presentable. Use a nicer car (if you can afford it). Or at least take good care of what you have. All these subconsciously tell your potential business partner that you can lead them to the promise land if they get in a business with you.

You have a choice as a network marketer.you can either make money or give excuses. In order for you to have any type of financial freedom and success in you MLM business, you need to give up this two things:

* Making Excuses
* Blaming

For every network marketer that I’ve come across, they are either doing these two things: making money or blaming some and giving excuses. Let me rephrase myself here. You are either making money or giving excuses and blaming someone for your failure. Imagine if you own a McDonald franchise, and you did not make any profit in your first year or first month. Are you going to blame the corporate office or the regional inspector? My guess is, you wont. Because that system has made a lot of people rich. Lets break this down a little.

Excuses:

Giving excuses for your MLM or home based business failure is simply to clear yourself from blame. So you had a home meeting with 49 guests and no one signed up and you gave up? Your up line’s phone was cut off and you couldn’t get to him for a three way call, so what? You can either make money or make excuse. Take ownership on your MLM Network marketing business.

It would be nice for your up line to be available 24 hours 7 days on the phone. It would be nice for you to be a great speaker with PhD in sales. It would also be nice for my mansion to be next to the white house. But the reality is nothing is perfect. DO WHATEVER IT TAKES. If your closing skills is lacking, work on it. If your marketing skills is lacking, work on it. If your communication skills is lacking, work on it. Do not give excuse. Instead of excuses, work on being good at your craft.

Blaming

Not only do we give excuses, we find a way to blame someone for our failure. YOU ARE YOUR UP LINE! Let that ring in your brain for a minute. If you know you are your up line, then you will not blame anyone for your failure or lack of result in your MLM business. Perhaps your team is not growing as you want it to grow and you are whining about it? Are you the number one recruiter in your team? I am 99.96% sure that you are not but you still want to point finger and blame your business partners who are basically duplicating what you are doing. How many hours do you spend prospecting everyday? Blaming is a language of the mediocre. I am not saying some up lines cannot be blamed. Just don’t.

In conclusion, I am not saying some circumstances beyond out control can’t lead to slackness in our MLM business. Life can get in the way. But who doesn’t have personal issues they are dealing with? You think you have it bad? STEP OUT. Don’t be a leaner but be a learner and a doer. Remember this, if you point a finger to someone, guess how many fingers is pointing to you? If you say four you are correct.
